Whimsy In Action

This fabric line is called The Dress by Laura Heine for Free Spirit Fabrics.  The whimsical nature of this fabric just made my imagination soar.  In this picture you can see all those lovely little trimmings.  I have told you before how addicted to scraps I am... not sure what I will do with those... But the 6 1/2 inch squares are being turned into sock sacks for the shop.  You can find my shop at www.accidentalbliss.etsy.com.  

I don’t know about you but sometimes I see a fabric range and the wheels start turning and all I can do is think about exactly what I want to create from it.  I do a lot of bags, first for my shop which serves knitters and other people who want cute and functional bags to store projects or other goodies.  But also I make bags sometimes because making a quilt isn’t practical with the amount of time I have to devote to it.   Now don’t get me wrong, I would love to do this full time, but my husband has this thing about being able to eat and make the house payment.  

I haven’t been serious about blogging in a while.  My intention is to share more of my makes on here.  Wish me luck!
